In order to to know how to talk to prospects about your network marketing business , you  first have to know how much your business rocks. And I believe you really think it does.  And most likely . . . you are right!  Great product, great comp plan and plenty of business building training are just the start.  You want to share the news with others that being an entrepreneur in this economic climate is THE WAY out of crappy pay, obnoxious co-workers, and an overall lack of life fulfillment.

But if you go about bringing it up the wrong way, it’s going to scare people off like the plague.  Most people tend to (pardon my wording here) barf up every little detail about their company, and just PITCH PITCH PITCH like there’s no tomorrow. They wind up sounding like used car salesmen.  We are a different breed of consumer who can see through this type of approach a mile away.  IT DOES NOT WORK!  This goes for online and offline.

The idea of building a business this way is what makes so many network marketers so damn afraid of talking about their business. They want to share what the opportunity has to offer, but they don’t want to annoy anyone, face rejection, or look like an idiot.  Why do you think there are so many Google searches for ‘How To Talk To Prospects About Your Network Marketing Business’?

But alas, there is good news. Once you know the process on how to expose people to your business, it becomes much easier. And once you understand the “Less is More” approach, it becomes EVEN EASIER. Again, this goes for both online and offline.

The Golden Rule On How To Talk To Prospects About Your Network Marketing Business: The More You Talk About It, The Less Money You Will Make!

The trick is to peak someone’s interest just enough, get their contact information, then change the subject. Let the 3rd Party tools do all the work.

Yup. No barfing here. Keep it short and sweet. Remember, it’s all about providing the message (in the form of a 3rd party tool) because you are stronger when validated by something that is NOT you.

So , here is the process on how to talk to prospects about your network marketing business.

It’s going to be a process of 3-5 exposures, and again, this is applicable both online and offline. Whether you starting the conversation on Facebook, Twitter, or at a party or the bank, it still requires a few steps.

1.) When the topic of job, career, what you do for a living comes up, and a window has been opened, keep it brief, less than 2 minutes, as well as pretty general and vague. For example, mention nuggets of info like:
*You own your own business
*You earn money not only from your efforts, but from the LEVERAGED effort of others, and they too are able to make money the same way (i.e. you make money by not only your efforts, but the efforts of others).
*You work from home
*It’s a nice change from: insert previous job/work experience
*Provides you lots of time/freedom
*If in a health/nutrition company, mention the fitness/product side as well.

2.) Ask them if it’s something they are interested in hearing more about, get their info , then CHANGE THE TOPIC.  This leaves them wanting more and full of curiosity.  You must get them to PURSUE you, because once you start chasing them, they will RUN (or delete your emails/FB messages).

3.) Now it’s time for the 3rd party tools.  Start off with something easy to digest, and is perfect for not only grabbing someone’s attention, but also opening someone up to the idea of Network Marketing (or if you are using Attraction Marketing and only targeting Network Marketers, your specific company).  Most importantly, it leaves them wanting MORE.  And if for some reason it doesn’t, then move on.

4.) If your prospect wants more info, then go ahead and send him/her a full presentation.

5.) FOLLOW-UP!!!!!!!!!!

The most important thing is to get out of the way and let the tools do the work. They explain the opportunity WAY, WAY better than you or anyone else can.

Notice how in this approach you barely talk about the business in any sort of detail? This strategy has worked for a LOOOONG time in this industry, and will continue to do so. If it aint broke, don’t fix it!
